Cherita is a proud product of the Detroit Public School System where she graduated with honors. She continued her education at Marygrove College, earning both a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Master’s in Education. She has joyfully taught children of all ages for more than 18 years professionally and in her community. She held the position of Educational Director at her church for many years. She believes that one of the best feelings in the world is playing a small integral part in the successful growth and development of young minds.
Cherita has been happily married for 23 plus years and is the proud parent of two wonderfully blessed adult children. She and her husband reside in Romulus, Michigan. She really enjoys spending time with family, cooking, crocheting, listening to music, traveling and gardening.
